Remembering Dr. Tom Schelstrate
On May 20, 2020, Dr. Tom Schelstrate passed away peacefully at his home in Arlington. Tom was a devoted father, grandfather, husband, friend, teacher, counselor, administrator, veteran, and gardener. He served as a member of the Foundation’s board from 2001 to 2009. Tom was one of the original three teachers to conceive the idea of providing scholarships to W-L students. He left an indelible impact on our community, and will be missed by students, teachers, administrators, and the ENTIRE Arlington community.
